Ralli, unsatisfied in her marriage to nuclear physicist Guers, gets involved in a lesbian relationship with the refined and intelligent Aimee. She convinces herself that she is happy, but after an argument Ralli drives her car into a truck and dies, a victim of loneliness too poignant to bear.
