This film is the third in a series by Rohmer, "Six Moral Tales." Adrien (Bachau) is the handsome young man faced with the problem of whether to sleep with Haydee (Politoff), the pretty temptress who is staying at the same boarding house during his vacation in St. Tropez. Listening to her carry on with a number of different men, he attempts to purify himself, avoiding sex and other pleasurable pursuits.
