Kronos

A fun science-fiction film with a different kind of monster. Kronos is a 100-foot-tall metal alien who arrives on the California coast. He heads east, soaking up energy from his surroundings. His energy field eventually takes over the mind of scientist Emery, much to the dismay of his colleague, Morrow. As Kronos takes in more energy, he grows larger. Morrow finally devises a way to short-circuit the monster. It ends up sapping its own energy and eventually disappears. Despite a low budget, this isn't a bad film. The special effects, though not topnotch, are rather good.
