If You Knew Susie

A silly movie which stars Cantor and Davis as a husband and wife vaudeville team. They retire from the stage and settle down in a community where they are snubbed by their neighbors. They then discover a document signed by George Washington regarding the payment of $50,000 to one of their ancestors. They take the note to the government, which tallies up a debt to them of several billion dollars, with interest. The comedian's already-buggy eyes pop out but he patriotically declines to accept.
