An attempt by Carlo Ponti to salvage a picture or two after Embassy refused to release his original PARANOIA in the US. He shot more footage and attempted to release two separate features from the original film. The result in this one is nearly slapstick comedy. Mastroianni and Tiffin are
husband and wife involved in excessive marital strife, eventually leading each to sell the other to a sheik. Although performances are adequate, the film is badly marred by its awkward editing. (The other picture made by Ponti from PARANOIA was THE MAN WITH THE BALLOONS.)
