King Of The Wild Stallions

Brewster owns a ranch but needs $500 to pay off Meyer, a cattle baron. Coincidentally, that is just the amount of the reward Meyer is offering for the capture of the title beast. Brewster's son Hartleben catches the animal but wants to keep it himself. Enter Montgomery as the ranch foreman (and Brewster's suitor) to settle everything. It's a nice story, told well by director Springsteen. Though the theme is an old one, he doesn't resort to much cliche. There's also some nice footage of wild horses edited in.
