Roy Rogers plays a rodeo performer-cum-government agent who is appointed by the governor (Russell Hicks) to discover who has been blasting military warehouses filled with the hardware needed to win WW II. The sabotage appears to be related to the presence of a traveling tent show, so Rogers
joins the show and discovers that the saboteurs receive their cryptic instructions through messages coded by the show's spiritualist, transmitted during performances. Rogers had recently been the subject of a cover story in the enormously popular Life
