Ayres is a small-time guy with big dreams. Mack is his girl who listens to him but can only take so much and eventually dumps him for the more affluent Varconi, a mobster. Ayres decides to show her who's big time and becomes successful in the newspaper trucking business. He gets himself a Park Avenue penthouse and tries once more for his lost love.
