Who Is Killing The Great Chefs Of Europe?: Review

The title of this movie tells it all. Morley is a gourmand whose doctor orders him to lose 140 pounds, lest his overworked heart give out. But how can he lose all this excess weight when his favorite chefs are still cooking up delectable dishes? Suddenly the finest of Europe's chefs mysteriously are done in with the most bizarre style of murder one might imagine. Each chef is killed in accordance with his specialty. A duck press crushes the head of one chef; another is baked in his own oven. What's in store for Bisset, a world-renowned dessert specialist and ex-wife of fast-food entrepreneur Segal? The string of murders takes the viewer on a rollicking trans-European chase with all the clues pointing to Morley. But is he the killer? This unusual comedy has some wonderful moments of black humor. The direction moves at a slick pace but keeps the tone light, with some witty results. Morley steals the entire film. leave a comment
