I Killed That Man

1942, Movie, NR, 72 mins

starstarstarstar
A surprisingly good mystery produced by low-budget sleeper experts Maurice and Franklin King as an independent, their second such film distributed through Monogram. Lots of action and a few surprises. Cortez, who had been a Latin lover--the low-budget equivalent of Rudolph Valentino or Ramon Novarro--stars in one of his last tough guy roles before turning to character parts. leave a comment
