A completely faithful--and surprisingly dull--adaptation of the famed novel. MacArthur is the young lad who is cheated out of his inheritance and sold into slavery by Laurie, his uncle. Put on a ship as the cabin boy, he meets Finch, a Scottish loyalist who has asked the captain (Lee) to
take him to Scotland. After MacArthur finds out Lee plans to kill Finch, he and Finch join forces to take over the ship. When the ship runs aground and MacArthur is washed ashore, he overcomes several obstacles and claims his inheritance. Finch sets sail once more, and the two say their farewells.
