A horse named Rodney saves Huston's life in WW I, and naturally the soldier grows enamored of the equine. However, when Huston and the critter are separated by an insensitive officer, the angered man goes AWOL. He nearly faces a court-martial, but everything wraps up nicely when the US president retires Rodney and makes Huston his caretaker. Slowed down by a high sap-per-frame ratio. Shot at Fort Myers, Virginia, with the 16th Field Artillery. First Lt. E.L. Gruber provided "The Caisson Song." leave a comment
