O'Neil arrives from Ireland to marry plumber Delaney but is wooed by political boss Elliott. Despite Delaney's objections, they decide to marry, but, on the day of the wedding, a man turns up who accuses Elliott of having a man killed. In front of O'Neil, Elliott pulls out a gun and shoots the man in the back. Realizing the magnitude of her mistake, O'Neil gives back her engagement ring and returns to Delaney. Routine melodrama that has not held up over the years. leave a comment
