Grieving over his wife's death, dedicated cop Dooley (Jim Belushi) devotes himself to busting lawbreakers with Jerry, a trained police dog. Although both are in a middle-aged slump, their longtime partnership is tested when Dooley gets attacked at an ATM machine by a thug in body armor. We later learn that the mysterious assailant was Devon Lane (Wade Andrew Williams), a disgruntled crime novelist, whose work Dooley disparaged. Because paunchy Dooley is no match for Devon, Capt.
