This family crime picture is sweetened with poochy comedy. On the eve of his retirement, LAPD detective Thomas Dooley, (Jim Belushi) and his canine sidekick, Jerry Lee, stumble upon an industrial espionage crime in progress at Micro Labs. They give chase but fail to apprehend the high-tech thief (Christopher Shyer), who's already killed several guards in his quest to obtain a revolutionary computer chip. Dooley's former boss, Captain Thomas (Blu Mankuma), warns him to butt out of this federal investigation, and Dooley finds himself scrounging for a little extra income.
