Lynn is a middle-aged music teacher who tries to overcome his shyness by taking a "How To Succeed" course. Hotel owner Burnaby, who also happens to be the father of his girl friend, Shotter, puts him in charge of the hotel. When the books do not seem to add up suspicion is cast upon Lynn,
but he clears his name by catching his accountant in the act.
