Teaming up again after HERE COMES THE GROOM, Crosby and Wyman play an engaged couple. Crosby, a widower and successful Broadway producer, spends too much time at rehearsals and not enough time with his kids, 18-year-old Arthur and 14-year-old Wood. He takes them to a resort for a few
days, but has trouble talking to them. In comes Wyman to save the day by explaining their father's devotion to the stage. Arthur, however, develops a crush on Wyman and writes her a love song, which is good enough for Crosby to publish. Despondent over his unrequited love, Arthur joins the Air
