Just Around The Corner

The first Temple film that was not a major box office hit, this one has 10 year-old Shirley cast as the daughter of architect Farrell. Wiped out by the depression, he goes from the penthouse to the basement, figuratively and literally, as his financial troubles force him to move out of his posh top-floor apartment to take over as the building's maintenance man. Gruff millionaire Gillingwater leases the vacant apartment, and by film's end Temple has charmed him into coming up with the money to give Dad a second chance.
