In some unnamed South American cocaine republic, a producer (Gortner), a photographer (Van Pallandt), and a bevy of leggy models arrive for a fashion shoot. Simultaneously arriving is an American mafioso (Vernon) and his contingent, there to make a big deal with a hefty heavy (Smith), whose relationship with his half-sister (Danning) is more than familial. When the plane carrying the models strays too far into Smith's territory, he orders it shot down. The survivors try to make their way to safety but are pursued and captured by Smith's private army, led by Strode. The women escape from their cell, however, and a three-way running gun battle erupts among the models, Smith's troops, and Vito's men. With an amazingly prominent cast for an exploitation item and some clever writing, this obscure film is almost the quintessence of mindless entertainment, although there's not enough naked flesh or spraying blood to please genre aficionados. The performances are nearly all unremittingly silly except Smith's. Certainly nothing special here, but an inoffensive and sometimes-amusing way to kill an hour and a half. leave a comment
