Even the inclusion of newsreel footage fails to make this picture about France's dramatic stand at Dien Bien Phu in Indochina look realistic. A group of four volunteers from France are called upon to parachute into Indochina to help defeat the enemy. Of course, each man has his own reason for volunteering, but in telling us what these are the overlong film fails to deliver much in excitement or honesty. leave a comment
