The plot line is thin, but the film's main objective was to showcase popular music and performers of the era, so nobody seemed to mind. Murray plays a fast-talking sales manager for a record company whose boss, Douglas, is engaged to Hilliard. Douglas ends up marrying Adrian following a drunken binge, and that leads to romance between Murray and Hilliard.
