The insubstantial plot of this film is no more than a vehicle for Rogers, but it serves him very well. Rogers, as Judge Priest, is presiding over Landau's trial. The latter, who fought with a man who insulted "orphan girl" Louise (secretly Landau's daughter), is later involved in a knife fight with the same man.
