Williamson runs around eating cigars, chasing bad guys, fighting, and making love in this incomprehensible mess that takes place shortly after the Civil War. The script was written by Williamson, but he hasn't gone to a great deal of trouble; there's barely enough dialog to justify a
script. This is a perfect example of the dubious 1970s genre known as "blaxploitation films." Made cheaply, with little quality in production or acting, the films were generally released in theaters catering to black-only audiences.
