Withers, a 16-year-old movie star tired of playing kid roles, tries a romance with "older man" Wilcoxon, a middle-aged playwright. After much disappointment she finally comes upon happiness (as well as an opportunity to show off some new tap dancing skills) when she joins the "Junior Victory Caravan," a young people's version of the "Hollywood Caravan," touring army camps to give the fighting men a boost of morale. This was intended as a vehicle to elevate Withers to glamor girl status, but the results fall far short of that goal.
