One wonders who would be dumb enough to star New Jersey-born Sinatra in a western? Then one notes the name of the coproducer is the same as that of the star and the question is answered. Sinatra plays the younger brother of a gunman who had been the fastest gun in Cripple Creek, Arizona, in 1875, until he drew a little slower than the competition, Conrad and Dark. Now the small burg looks to Sinatra to get rid of the killers who have established themselves as the bosses of the town. But Sinatra, a bully and coward, flees the confrontation. He meets Kirk and preacher Wynn, a gun-carrying man of the cloth. They both convince Sinatra that he has to return to Cripple C...
