Faced with a choice between jail or the army, a group of sharpies choose the latter. They make a military post the base of operations for a gambling and liquor operation and do quite well. Overseas the results are similar. Asked to start a social club for troop morale, the group opens a
facility that falls just short of being a brothel. They try unsuccessfully to keep this a secret from visiting members of Parliament. What could have been a great farce is reduced to a bunch of stock situations and highly stereotyped characters.
