This is an interesting, though flawed, updating of "Macbeth" as a gangster story. Roman is the wife of Douglas, the right-hand man of a powerful gangster. Roman wants it all and pushes her husband into becoming a top crime figure himself. But Douglas has his downfall at the hands of
Colleano, a mobster whose father and wife are killed by Douglas. Though the Shakespearean references don't always work, the premise is clever and the film has a nice look and feel to it, with an excellent cast and fast-paced direction that keeps the tension building.
