Jitterbugs

Laurel and Hardy find themselves stranded on a desert road after their car has run out of gas. Along comes swindler Bailey (a nice guy at heart), rescuing the pair and enlisting their help in his carnival con game--selling pills that supposedly turn water into gasoline. Performing as a two-man jitterbug band, the boys draw potential customers, including love interest Blaine. Her mother has been cheated in a land deal, and Bailey and the guys agree to help out, traveling with her to New Orleans in the hope of catching the crooks.
