The only directorial effort of Don "Red" Barry, this poorly made western has the romanticized title character taking refuge in a small Mississippi town where he romances all the women in the cast before returning to Missouri. Beutel had the leading role in Howard Hughes' THE OUTLAW, a film
in which he proved that he was one of the world's worst actors. This film, made a decade later, during Beutel's long slide to the bottom, reaffirms his woeful lack of talent.
