Jealousy

Adapted from the Broadway play by Louis Verneuil, this film, set in France, was fraught with difficulties. The leading lady was Eagels, an actress with a big following at the time; the original leading man was Anthony Bushell. But after shooting a version with him, Eagels was dissatisfied, and demanded that another version be shot with March opposite her. Eagels was seriously ill while shooting the second version (she died later that year), and she barely managed to finish it. Even the addition of March fails to save this lackluster tale of jealousy.
