With 17 great recording stars, 21 hit tunes, and 21 popular disc jockeys, JAMBOREE is a potpourri of early rock 'n' roll, rockabilly, and swing. The slapdash plot concerns two young singing stars, Medford and Pastine, who fall in love but are dragged apart by their agents, who are divorced. That's not important. What is important is a chance to see Jerry Lee Lewis belt out "Great Balls of Fire" onscreen for the first time. Other songs include "Jamboree," "Record Hop Tonight," "For Children of All Ages," "Glad All Over," "Who Are We to Say," "Teacher's Pet," "Siempre," "Cool Baby," "Sayonara," "Toreador," "Your Last Chance," "If Not for You," "Unchain My Heart," "A Broken Promise," "One O'clock Jump," "I Don't Like You No More," "Cross Over," "Hula Love," "Wait and See," and "Twenty-four Hours a Day." leave a comment
