Mickey Rooney's production company put up the money for this routine jungle outing. Sabu is a primitive boy taken from his rain-forest home in South America by British doctor Hale and raised as British. Later in life, while on an expedition for oil, Sabu fears he may be reverting back to his savage state when the expedition members suspect him of a rather nasty murder. Sabu isn't sure of his innocence as he may have been under the influence of powerful drugs when the murder took place. After being kidnapped by his old tribe, Sabu learns the truth and is relieved that he is not the killer. The story is riddled with cliches and stock characterizations, all of which add up to little. leave a comment
