After Megan Harris (Carla Cugino) is found half-dead on the beach following a brutal assault, she learns she may be brutalized further on the witness stand if she presses charges. Although District Attorney Lisa Heller (Catherine Dent) and detective Helen Norwich (Aida Turturro) are squarely in Megan's corner, the pursuit of justice is complicated by the fact that the perps are two bisexual women, Pat Long (Rya Kihlstedt) and Alex Arnold (Anna Thompson), who assaulted Megan with a wine bottle.
