This harmless western casts Beery as a horse thief and mail robber. He cares for the son of a fellow he has shot in self-defense. The boy (Hickman) isn't aware, however, that Beery killed his outlaw dad, and now idolizes the man. It doesn't take long for Hickman to discover the truth, and
he turns on Beery. Eventually the lad comes to understand why his father was killed for the happy ending. There are some good comic moments and Beery gives a neat performance. Main is involved in a romantic sub-plot which detracts from the central story.
