1956, Movie, NR, 82 mins

Mahoney is a commercial airline pilot who, after seeing passenger Harding, experiences a strange sensation that causes him to reenact an aerial dog fight. The plane begins diving and twisting as if Mahoney himself were the Red Baron. Copilot Paris knocks him out and flies the plane to safety before Mahoney loses his imaginary battle. Mahoney awakens in a hospital and explains that, in a past life, he was the husband of Harding and was shot down in a dogfight over France in WW I. This was the first of many films to deal with the subject of reincarnation--a popular notion in the films of 1956, with THE SEARCH FOR BRIDEY MURPHY following suit. Cast as a stewardess was April Kent, daughter of actress June Havoc. leave a comment
