Durbin is the daughter of a famous actress, Francis, and she would like to follow in her mother's footsteps. Durbin attends a summer-stock school while her mother is in Honolulu. She's picked for the lead in the fall show, a role originally assigned to her mother. Durbin goes to Hawaii to be coached by her mother. She meets millionaire Pidgeon and begins chasing him. He falls in love with her mother, Francis, who retires from the stage for marriage, making it possible for Durbin to become a famous stage actress. This was S. Z. "Cuddles" Sakall's Hollywood film debut.
