Foster, the son of soap manufacturer Pallette, decides to rival his father and enter the business on his own. With the help of beautiful secretary Lombard and ad man Gallagher, Foster comes up with the phenomenally popular slogan for his "Thirteen" brand of soap: "Thirteen--unlucky for dirt." Unfortunately for Foster, he cannot produce enough soap to keep up with the demand. Pallette steps forward and purchases the trademark for a nifty sum, while Foster and Lombard fall in love. An amusing comedy that features silent star Louise Brooks, one of the cinema's great beauties, in a role which is almost completely forgotten. leave a comment
