Snowmobiling is the big thing for this uneventful picture photographed in chilly Minnesota. Henriksen is a Nordic-type trapper who returns to his home town to find there's no market for pelts. He does the next logical thing: becomes a snowmobile racer. Before the big race comes along, his
girlfriend is inexplicably bludgeoned to death, and a local heroin dealer is shot and killed. Henriksen, for some shaky reasons, is suspected and is taken into custody. A typical early 1970s film with a familiar look, acting "technique," rock music score (with vocal by Blue Batch), and that
all-important picturesque outdoor photography.
