There's a B&W sci-fi/horror ...

Question: There's a B&W sci-fi/horror movie where the creatures have turtlelike bodies and elephant trunks that suck people's bones out. Do you know the title?

Answer: I do. If I believed in guilty pleasures, which I don't, the Peter Cushing picture Island of Terror (1966) would be one of mine. Cushing plays a scientist summoned to a remote island to look into the mystery of its boneless corpses, both animal and human. What he finds is the very unpleasant result of a local doctor's search for a cancer cure: His research accidentally produced a monster that feeds on calcium, which it obtains by liquifying the bones of its victims and sucking them out through its proboscis. The film is in color, by the way, but I thought it was B&W for years because I first saw it on a B&W TV set.
