The Iron Sheriff

In this interesting western, sheriff Hayden's testimony leads to his own son's conviction for murder, despite the fact that Hayden is convinced of the boy's innocence. The sheriff tells of a deathbed confession that identified his son as the killer. However, Hayden is able to disprove the accusation and finally to track down the real culprit. While he is in pursuit, it is never clear whether the sheriff is going to kill the murderer in cold blood or bring him in to stand trial.
