Yet another totally absurd bout of macho wish fulfillment for those frustrated by the American government and military's inability to deal effectively with terrorism, IRON EAGLE is actually more outlandish than most. Gedrick is a teenager about to go to his high school prom when he learns that his father (Thomerson) has been shot down near an unnamed Arab country for venturing too close to its borders.
