Irish tenor Hayward is cast as an Irish businessman in London whose biggest blunder is admitting that he misses his homeland. Some of his mates "kidnap" him and drop him in the fields near his birthplace. A romance buds with farm gal Sheridan and he gets mixed up with some Chicago
mobsters and their bootlegging operation. All ends well when he overcomes the gangsters and strikes a deal to sing radio spots in the U.S. for a food line he's developed.
