A disappointment that mines the same vein of gross-out romantic comedy as THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY, without that film's oddball charm. Worse, it's completely overwhelmed by Jim Carrey's slapstick antics as Rhode Island state trooper Charlie Baileygates, a human doormat so deep in denial that he was the last to know his beloved wife, Layla (Traylor Howard), was carrying on with another man, even though the other man was black and so are the Baileygates' triplets.
