The logical choices for this remake of the 1926 picture based on a 1919 musical would have been Astaire and Rogers. Neither wanted to make the film, so the star chores were turned over to Milland and Neagle. Neagle, an English actress, plays an Irish girl who moves from the slums to become a Cinderella and play with the rich folks on the north shore of Long Island. Milland and Marshal both fall for her and battle it out over her affections. Roland Young isn't given much to do as the man who manages the fashionable couturier shop where Neagle works.
