This somewhat emotionally contrived film centers on McGuire as a young lady who is dying of a heart condition and Calhern as her wealthy, indulgent father, who decides to give his daughter the gift of marriage. He pays Johnson to wed the girl, only to have her find out about the scheme as she nears her untimely death. Johnson, however, has genuinely fallen in love with her, which gives McGuire the needed strength to submit to an operation that will extend her life. leave a comment
