THE INVISIBLE KID, a rehash of mid-80s pictures such as MY SCIENCE PROJECT and TEEN WOLF, does nothing but recycle the cliches of earlier films. Jay Underwood is a high school brain working on a project to complete the notes of his late scientist father while his befuddled mother, Karen Black, camps out in front of the TV set, watching an advice show hosted by Brother Theodore. Searching for a missing secret ingredient, Underwood creates an explosion of green slime that, after some pigeon guano falls into it, converts to a pile of glittery powder.
