Nifty, atmospheric science fiction film. Hunt is a young boy who wakes in the middle of the night after hearing strange noises outside the house. He sees a spaceship land and burrow itself into the earth. Erickson, his father, goes out to investigate but returns with a strange air about him. Soon his mother is the same way, and Hunt discovers radios buried in their necks. When a neighbor girl disappears into the ground, he calls the police but to no avail. More people are controlled by the Martians until psychologist Carter and astronomer Franz come to help.
