Internal Affairs: Review

It wasn't entirely clear when this dark, brooding thriller from director Mike Figgis (Leaving Las Vegas) was first released in 1990 just how well it reflected anxiety over abuses of power within the LAPD. By the end of the decade, after the nasty spectacle of the Rodney King beating and the flurry of questions surrounding the case against O.J. Simpson, its prescience is downright eerie.
