A noted opera singer is about to marry the fabulously wealthy Fiedler in gay Paris. But the two quarrel before the ceremony, and would-be bride Rudolph manages to leap from the car before arriving at the church. Soon she is without money, having only her voice for collateral. She loses
the rights to her abilities in a bet with Schoenhals, who secretly is a noted composer. He uses Rudolph for his own means but, of course, the film ends on a happy note. The story is enjoyable, told with a good sense of humor that makes the unlikely premise work.
