Inside The Lines

1930, Movie, NR, 72 mins

Compson and Forbes are spies during WW I. They fall in love, despite the fact that each thinks the other is a German spy. Eventually, they find out they're on the same side and unite to keep Auer from bombing a British position. The film is based on a 1915 Broadway flop that didn't improve with age or translation to film. The direction is indifferent, and the acting is superficial. Though it starts off well, the film quickly slips into tedium. leave a comment
